future of notification services

whats the future of notifications services?
also if i'm building a messaging (notification) application, should i use
SSNS or MSMQ?
Ofcourse i'll be using .NET.
I just need to know what technology i should invest in? & whether investing
in SSNS would be worth itoops wrong newsgroup
